The Bedford Swan Hotel and Thermal Spa is delighted with the news of Universal Studios plans to launch in Bedford, marking a vibrant new chapter for the local community.
Our Managing Director, Gareth Leakey commented:
“This is perfect timing for us as we complete our 7-year, multi-million-pound investment at The Bedford Swan with the addition of an extra 24 bedrooms. Like most hotels that aren’t in a large leisure catchment area, we rely on regular corporate guests that has been up and down this year, and the prospect of additional regular leisure guests will be transformative for us and all of the hotels in and around Bedford.” He continued, “To hear that 80% of the 28,000 roles that are being created during construction and after the park opens will be coming from the Bedford area is incredible to hear, especially as many of them will be in the Hospitality sector. Some much needed exciting news for the residents and businesses in and around Bedford, which will change all of our lives!”
