We have missed you!
After all those missed anniversary minibreaks, long business drives to meetings without a stayover, dinner dates without a place to stay, it’s finally time to start easing out of lockdown and we can’t wait to welcome you.
Our General Manager, Malcolm, and all the team here at Bedford Swan Hotel have been working hard behind the scenes throughout lockdown to ensure we can reopen safely.
We’ve made some changes that we know will ensure you enjoy the usual welcoming, charming and relaxing stay we are known for. The hotel and restaurant are working with Shield Safety Group while undergoing a full COVID Risk Assessment to establish Safe to Trade status. You can read the full assessment here.
Your safety is our priority
We are still the same great hotel but with a few extra steps to ensure you are safe and comfortable. Here’s the ways we have ensured your safety is our priority:

On arrival at the hotel
Car Parking: Where possible, please park in alternate parking spaces and ensure you complete your registration plate number details when asked prompted during check-in.
Self Check-In: We now have self check-in kiosks at reception for a contactless check-in. We will have a member of staff available should you have any problems so please ring the bell for assistance.
Check Out: Please use our kiosks for an express checkout.
Keeping distanced but social
Social Distancing: Look out for additional signage around the hotel and ensure you follow the instructions.
You’ll notice floor markings, posters, banners and protective screens. Please adhere to the guidelines and keep a safe distance from others for your safety and the safety of our staff and other guests.
Clean and safe
Cleaning: Already an excellent-rated hygiene venue, we have increased cleaning and sanitation even further for all areas. We’ll focus more attention on high traffic areas and guest touch points. Hand sanitiser dispensers have been placed throughout the hotel.
Cashless: We’ve removed the need for cash payments across the hotel. All your payments can be made by debit and credit card or charged to your room.
Your Bedroom: Bedrooms are deep cleaned before every stay and all non-essential items have been removed. After the deep clean your room is sealed and nobody will enter before your arrival.
Housekeeping will only service your room again if your stay exceeds 4 nights. Towels and amenities will be placed on the inside of your bedroom door each morning.
Making the most of your stay
Food and Beverage: Our restaurant layout has been changed to promote social distancing and safe dining. Ordering is now available via our website on your mobile device to offer reduced contact.
Room Service: If you’d like to order room service you can now order this via our website. We will then ensure you receive a contactless delivery.
